Saturday 22nd February 2020 – 11am until 3pm @ Knockdoemore GAA Grounds

Lackagh Foroige Youth Group in association with the Road Safety Authority [RSA] and Claregalway GAA will host the RSA Shuttle bus and Roll Over Simulator. The Shuttle Bus is a mobile interactive unit to people young and old with the chance to interact with various road safety campaigns and understand the importance of road safety.
Using the latest simulations and immersive technologies, the Shuttle Bus as seen above, aims to raise awareness of motorists around killer behaviours such as speeding, driver distraction, driver fatigue, driving under the influence of alcohol, and many other issues.

Test your driving skills and reaction time on the car simulators and break reaction timer.
Cyclists can brush up on rules of the road in a surround screen simulator, whilst the motorcycle simulator offers
insight into what the road looks like from a biker’s perspective.

The Roll Over simulator highlights the importance of wearing your seat belt correctly.

The Roll Over simulator is fitted to a hydraulic platform which can simulate a 90 degree and 180 degree roll-over. This demonstrates how it would feel
if you were a driver or passenger involved in a less than desirable incident. You will leave the experience knowing how your seatbelt, when worn properly and
air bag function simultaneously to protect you in the case of a high speed impact. After this demonstration people will never travel in a car without a seatbelt
