Club Membership 2026 is open
Club membership for 2026 is now open on Foireann. In order for us to achieve our goal of having all of our members registered on Foireann, we need the support of the entire Claregalway GAA & LGFA community.
We would ask that all members engage positively with the process.

Club Membership – Foireann Registration
All membership is processed through Foireann (the official GAA registration system). To register, you must log in to Foireann and complete membership from there: https://foireann.ie

Why Join Claregalway GAA & LGFA and Pay Membership
Joining and paying membership to Claregalway GAA & LGFA is about far more than participation in sport; it is a commitment to supporting a strong, inclusive, and vibrant local community. Claregalway operates under a one-club model, proudly supporting both men’s and women’s Gaelic football from nursery level through to adult teams. This approach promotes equality, shared facilities, and a unified club identity that benefits all players, families, and volunteers.
As a member, you are helping to sustain a club that sits at the heart of parish life. Claregalway GAA & LGFA provides opportunities for players of all ages to stay active, develop skills, build confidence, and form lifelong friendships. The club also acts as an important social hub, bringing families and supporters together through training, matches, and community events, and fostering a strong sense of belonging and shared pride.
Membership income is essential to the ongoing sustainability and success of the club. While Claregalway relies heavily on volunteer effort, there are significant costs involved in maintaining facilities, providing coaching and equipment, and covering day-to-day operational expenses. Membership represents excellent value for money, particularly for families, and we strongly encourage households with multiple players to consider the Family Membership option where possible.
Registration, Player Welfare & Inclusion
Club membership and registration are a mandatory requirement for participation in Gaelic games. All players must be fully registered through Foireann before taking part in training or matches. This ensures players are officially affiliated with Claregalway GAA & LGFA and are covered under GAA regulations, including eligibility for the GAA Player Injury Fund, which provides support in the event of an injury sustained during official training or matches. Unregistered players are not covered and are not permitted to play.
Claregalway GAA & LGFA is committed to being an inclusive and supportive club. If a player or family is experiencing difficulty in paying the membership fee but wishes to play or remain involved, we encourage you to contact the club directly and in confidence. All such enquiries are treated with discretion and understanding, and the club will work with individuals and families to ensure that financial circumstances are not a barrier to participation.
Members should also be aware that sports club membership fees may be eligible for partial reimbursement under some health insurance plans, depending on your provider and policy. We recommend checking directly with your insurer for details.
By paying your membership, you are investing in the future of Claregalway GAA & LGFA — supporting player welfare, facilities, coaching, and community participation — and helping to ensure that Gaelic football continues to thrive locally for generations to come.
Thank you for your support
