Club Notes Week Ending 26th June 2022
Fixtures and results:
Our Seniors have made it to the Division 2 league final! Match is against Bearna this coming Friday (1st of July) at 19:45 in Kenny Park (Athenry). We’ve had a great league campaign and it would be great to see as many of you as possible out to support the lads this Friday. More details will be circulated later in the week. Hon the Balchies!
Our Junior A’s are out in the Division 4b Semi Final against Bearna at 6:30 this coming Saturday in Claregalway. The lads have had a great league – it would be great to see as many as possible out to support the lads in this home semi final!
Junior B’s are set to take on Cortoon Shamrocks in Cortoon this Friday. Further details TBC.

What a weekend for Galway! After an epic game against Armagh on Sunday our Seniors have made it through to a All Ireland Semi final against Derry! Well done to the team and our own lads Jack Glynn who started and Conor Flaherty and Conor Campbell who are on the extended panel!
Well done to Cillian, Owen, Eoin, Jack, Ryan, Éanna and the Galway Minors who beat Derry in the All Ireland Minor semi-final on Saturday in Parnell park! Next up is Mayo in the All Ireland Final. What a great year the Minors have had so far – lets hope we can go one step more!
We have a number of people representing Galway at all age grade and across LGFA and GAA and wish them all the best as they continue their intercounty experience!
Summer Camp:
Our Summer camp takes place between the 15th and 19th of August in Knockdoemore from 10am to 2pm. Cost is €60 for the first child, €50 for the second child and €130 for a family of 3 or more. To book email claregalwaygaacamp@gmail.com

Joe McDonagh Foundation:
Claregalway GAA have signed up to Glór na nGael; Joe McDonagh Foundation which is to help develop the promotion of Irish in the club in a more measured and planned fashion. We will be looking to drive some initiatives during the year to support Glór na nGael.

Golf Scramble:
Our annual golf scramble takes place in Cregmore Park golf club on Friday/Saturday 8th and 9th of July. Team of 4 is €140 and includes burgers on the tenth hole! It’s a great way for golfers of all abilities to get out and play some social golf!
