Club Notes Week Ending 31st March 2024

Mens Results:

Our Senior men made it two wins out of two when Corofin came to Knockdoemore on Friday evening. After a one-point win away in Milltown a fortnight previous we won out against Corofin on a scoreline of 2:10 to 0:07.

We drew with Carna Caiseal on a scoreline of 2:12 to 1:15 on Saturday in Division 4A and lost out to Dunmore MacHales in the Cahill Cup on a scoreline of 1:10 to 0:03

Senior Mens Sponsorship:

Upcoming Fixtures:

Our Under 19As are out against Tuam in Knockdoemore on Thursday at 18:45 and Under 17As are out on Tuesday the 9th of April in Knockdoemore against Tuam Stars also.

All areas of the club are in action in the coming weeks, fixtures and results are on the website.

Congrats:

Huge Congratulations to Martin Costello, one of our own coaches and Galway Under 16 coach on the great result over the weekend for Galway against Roscommon. Also to our very own Elaine Goldrick on her involvement with the County U16s as well. A huge well done to all.

Well done:

Well done to the Galway Under 14s and especially Katie, Róisín, Ava, Allanah and Katelyn who represented Claregalway GAA so well on Saturday last.

Well done Conor:

Well done to Conor Flaherty, who has been selected on the 2024 Electric Ireland GAA Higher Education Rising Stars Football Team of the Year.

Conor was part of the UL side that reached the semi-finals of the 2024 Sigerson Cup.

He has reached back-to-back Sigerson Cup finals with UL in 2022 & 2023

Our 4th pitch in Knockdoemore will be getting seeded when weather allows and will be available for use at some point in the future – depending on weather.

Membership 2024:

Membership for 2024 is now due. Rates remain the same as last year. All registered Under 16 members will receive a training top later in the year. Thanks to all who have registered already. Further details on the website.

Easter Camp:

Our Easter Camp finished last Thursday after a great few days. The weather had an impact but we worked around it! Thanks to all our organisers and wonderful coaches for their time in arranging the programme of events for the past few days!

Online Lotto Draw:

The top prize next Monday is a massive €14,300!

To mark the Bank Holiday weekend we are adding an additional 300 euro to the prize fund!
