Club Notes Week Ending 29th January 2023
Medal Presentation:
To recognise and celebrate the achievements of our Minor A and B teams in winning their respective County titles in 2021 and our Under 15 team winning the All Ireland Feile Title in 2022, we are having a medal presentation evening on Saturday the 4th of February.
It will start at 6.30pm in the Community Centre in Lakeview and run until 20:00
Hector Ó hEochagáin will be our MC for the night and our GAA Young Player of the year Jack Glynn will present the medals!
All are welcome and please spread the word!
Mens:
Jack Glynn started in the Round 1 League match in McHale park on Saturday evening. Well done and best wishes to all of our county players for the year ahead.
We’ve a large number of players representing their respective colleges this year also – best wishes to them!
Ladies:
Well done to the Galway Senior ladies on their 1-13 to 0-7 NFL win over Dublin in Tuam Stadium today. All 6 Claregalway players started the match with each girl contributing handsomely to the victory. Galway play All Ireland champions Meath next Monday in Navan.
Congratulations to our 5 Claregalway girls; Zoe Duggan, Eabha Brennan, Emily Brogan, Leah O’Halloran & Shauna O’Connell who have been selected for the Galway Minor panel 2023.
This week Isla Day and Rionagh Crowe began their preparations for the Connaught Under14 Competition with the Galway squad.
Commiserations to Coláiste Bhaile Chláir ladies who lost out to Sacred Heart School -Westport in the Connacht Senior A final last week.
Syndicate Presentation:
Our Euromillions Syndicate from 2021/2022 donation of €1000 to Claregalway & District Day Care Centre was presented last week. Thanks to all of our members, volunteers and supporters for supporting the syndicate in 2021.
Always great to support the CDDCC and all the brilliant work they do in the community.
