Well done:

Well done to Jack Glynn and Nathan Grainger who were part of the Galway Senior extended panel that beat Sligo in the Connacht Final. Best wishes to the Galway squad and the lads as the head into the All Ireland group stage.

County Minors:

Great win last week for the Galway Minors who defeated Mayo by a goal. Pictured are the 5 Claregalway girls involved. Leah, Shauna, Emily, Eabha and Zoe. Well Done Girls!

G4MO:

Gaelic for Mothers and Others returned to training on Thursday Evenings at 8pm in Knockdoemore. Kindly coached by David Mullins. New members are always welcome. Contact Amy Sheahan on 087 3496515 for more details.

Féile 2023:

We had two girls teams take part in Feile over the week of the May Bank Holiday.

Unfortunately it was not meant to be for our Division 1 and Division 4 teams this year as they bowed out of the competition at Semi Final Stage. Our Div 1 girls lost out to a very strong Tuam Cortoon Team

Claregalway 0-5 V 1-09 Tuam Cortoon

Our Div 4 girls also were defeated by Salthill Knocknacarra

Claregalway 1-1 V 3-04 Salthill Knocknacarra

We had three boys teams compete last week in Feile.

Both our A and B teams missed out on the Semi Final Stage by the narrowest of margins. Our C team made it to semi final stage but lost out.

Not to be for medals this year for our boys or girls Feile teams but plenty enjoyment and fun was had by all competing.

Thanks to Supervalu Claregalway, The Unit Gym Claregalway, Kesel Construction and Greene Steele for their support of gear for a number of our teams. Please support all of our sponsors when you can.

Thanks to all of our coaches and volunteers who helped the event run so smoothly with so many matches having taken place in both Lakeview and Knockdoemore.
