The Club wins the intermediate county title, the minor county title and both Junior teams get promoted.
2017 Galway Intermediate Football champions
Claregalway enjoyed a madcap weekend in November 2017, as they secured two massive wins in the space of 24 hours.
Paul Kilgannon’s side lifted the Galway intermediate title on the Saturday, defeating Williamstown by 1-12 to 0-12 at Pearse Stadium.
The county final had been delayed for a number of weeks after two separate objections by Oileáin Árann about the eligibility of one of the Williamstown players following their semi-final clash.
Claregalway were then forced into action the day after their county final success, and they backed it up with a 1-12 to 1-10 Connacht semi-final victory over St John’s Sligo in Markievicz Park.
Unfortunately, Claregalway were beaten in the 2017 Connacht Club IFC final by Roscommon’s Michael Glaveys at Dr. Hyde Park, 3-14 to 1-12.
