Club Notes Week Ending 28th May 2023

Mens News:

Our Seniors are through to the Division 1 Semi Final. Fixture details TBC.

Our Juniors have a busy few days, taking on Salthill-Knocknacarra this Thursday in Knockdoemore at 20:00

They are in action again on Saturday against Caltra at 13:00 in Knockdoemore.

The Junior B’s had a fine 4:11 to 2:12 win against Carna-Caiseal on Saturday last.

Our Junior C’s won out against Killannin on Thursday last on a scoreline of 1:09 to 0:09.

Senior Ladies:

Result from the Ladies Div 3 Round 7 Adult League.

St Gabriels 2-12 V 2-07 Claregalway

Under 16:

Well done to our Under 16s who had a great win over a strong Salthill side on Tuesday evening in Knockdoe in the Under 16A County Semi Final on a scoreline of 4-16 to 3-9.

The lads have qualified for the County Final against Oranmore which was played on Monday evening in Tuam Stadium. Result unknown at time of writing.

Well done to the lads and mentors.

Under 19:

Our Under 19’s won the Under 19A North Board league final last week in Corofin against Corofin on a scoreline of 0-8 to 2-12.

Well done to the team and mentors and thanks to Corofin for a great game!

Under 16 Results:

A very hard working and committed performance from our U16 Ladies in their Division 1 League match Versus Tuam Cortoon on Thursday evening in Tuam. Claregalway Defending was excellent. Well done to the entire squad

And a very warm welcome and thanks to Laura Scanlon who has joined the management team. First game in and her input and advice to players and coaches was invaluable.

Galway Minors:

Well done to Daniel Fitzmaurice, goal keeper Cillian Walsh, Seán O Flynn and Daniel Hughes who were in the Galway Squad that played in the Connacht Final last Friday in Tuam. The result didn’t go our way but we remain in the All Ireland serious. Great experience for all of the lads involved.

G4MO:

Gaelic for Mothers and Others returned to training on Thursday Evenings at 8pm in Knockdoemore. Kindly coached by David Mullins. New members are always welcome. Contact Amy Sheahan on 087 3496515 for more details.
