Return to Competition:
This month has seen the return to training of many players within the club. Our younger groups of players are due to return at the end of March/early April. It’s great to see so many familiar and new faces around the club grounds and as the evenings get longer, we hope to have many fun filled training session! Further information and training times is now available on the clubs’ social media and website.
New referees are urgently required in the GAA. Claregalway GAA Club would love to see some Club members (male or female) consider taking on the role. If you are interested, get in touch with any Committee member, who will gladly help to get you started. Some of the benefits in becoming a referee are:
- Stay involved with the game as an alternative to playing
- Fitness – It’s a great way to keep fit
- Ambition – could you referee a County Final or even an All-Ireland Final?
- Learn more about the game
- Give Something Back – offers players, at the end of their playing days, the opportunity to continue in the sport
- Personal Development – helps to develop personal skills that are of value in all walks of life.
Without a referee there is no game.
