Club Notes Week Ending 03rd April 2023


Our Seniors lost to Tuam Stars last week in Division 1. They are out again this Thursday (6th) evening in Knockdoemore against St Michaels. This division one fixture is set to throw in at 20:00

Our Juniors are out in Division 4 against Carna Caiseal in Knockdoemore on Friday the 7th at 20:00

Our Junior C’s are out on Sunday the 9th at 14:00 against Cheathrú Rua in Cheathrú Rua.

The Junior B’s are out on Monday the 10th at 15:00 in Knockdoemore against Naomh Anna-Leitir Mor.

Our senior ladies had a great start to their Division 1 league campaign securing a win over Tuam Cortoon on Saturday the 1st April in Knockdoemore.

Claregalway 4-11 V Tuam Cortoon 1-7

Our U14s were out over the weekend and played friendly matches against Salthill/Knocknacarra in Knockdoemore and Monivea in Monivea on Saturday Morning. Well Done to all the girls. Some great displays of football skills ahead of the start of the summer league

Well done to Ruth, Roisin, Dara, Orna and John who represented us in the Scór na nÓg final in the Raheen Woods hotel at the weekend. They have qualified for the Connacht finals after a great performance.

Syndicate Update:

We are over halfway through the term of the syndicate and so far, winnings haven’t been significant however there are still six tickets and over 6 month worth of draws to play.

Club Membership:

Membership for 2023 is now due. Rates remain as they were for the past number of years. Thanks to those of you that have registered already for this year.

The income from membership goes towards paying for team registrations, player injury funds payments, player registrations with the GAA and LGFA, debt repayments on our Knockdoemore facilities and a whole host of ongoing expenses for the club.


Please note that GAA rules require all players be registered before return to on field activities.
