Club Development Officer:

Claregalway GAA would like to welcome our Club Development Officer Ruth Cronin who began working on behalf of the club with our local national schools in the past month.

Ruth hails from west Cork and is a third year sports science student in UL.

Ruth will work with the club for six months and is keen to see our young juvenile teams back on the pitches over the coming weeks so she can work with each group on football skills and fundamental movement.

Ruth will also run our Easter camp (3rd-6th of April) and our Cul Camp in early July.

We would like to thank Ruth for all her hard work to date and look forward to working with her over the coming months.

RIP – Padraic O’Brien

Last week the club lost a great friend and supporter.

Padraic O’ Brien and his family have had a strong association with the club since its’ foundations. One of our most loyal supporters, always familiar with the upcoming footballers and always positive towards the clubs developments.  Padraic was a quiet and pleasant person with the heart of a lion.

The man in the concrete truck was well known for his helpfulness to his customers with some remarkable stories about his exploits to ensure the job got done.

Rest in Peace Padraic
