Club Notes Week Ending 10th April 2022

Fixtures and results:


Our Senior men came made it two wins from two in the Division 2 League when they picked up the points against Caherlistrane on Sunday winning by a single score. The match was played in Caherlistrane and we won out on a score line of 1-14 to 1-13.

Our Junior B team played Menlough in the Junior B Championship North last Thursday evening and got the win, beating Menlough by 5-10 to 2-6

This week our Junior and Junior C teams are out in League and Championship respectively. Our Juniors take on Corofin in the 4B Football league in Corofin on Friday evening, throwing in at 18:30.



Under 16 LGFA Results & Fixtures

Under 16 Div1 played Annaghdown on 6-Apr in Knockdoemore

Claregalway 4-06 Annaghdown 3-03

Under 16 Div7 play Oranmore on 11-Apr at 6:30pm in Knockdoemore

Under 14 LGFA Results

Under 14 Div 3 played St Gabriels on 10-Apr in Knockdoemore

Claregalway 6-08 St Gabriels 3-02.

There are plenty underage fixtures taking place during the week also.


U12 LGFA Fixtures

U12 Yellow and White teams welcomed Oranmore to Knockdoemore on 9-Apr for pre-season friendly games. Very entertaining football with great skills on display from both clubs.

U12 Blue and Green teams will host Oranmore on 16-Apr in Knockdoemore for continued pre-season friendly games between our clubs

Under 20 represetation:

It wasn’t to be for the Galway Under 20s in the Connacht U20 football Championship Quarter final against Mayo last week.

Nathan Grainger started at number 15, Kyle Long started on the bench. Luc O Connor and Morgan Morrin were on the extended panel. Paddy Moran was involved in the backroom team



Gaelic4Mothers and Others:

Claregalway G4MO returned to training last Wednesday the 6th April @ 8pm in Knockdoemore (KDM). New members welcome at any stage during the season.
