A chairde,
We could not let the occasion go by without acknowledging the fantastic evening of enjoyment we had in our Club on Wednesday evening with the revival of our Primary Schools competition.
To the Pupils, Players ,Teachers, Parents and Coaches of Lackagh, Claregalway, Carnmore, Coolarne, Bawnmore and Cregmore, we congratulate you all on your achievements in having your teams extremely well prepared and turned out.
The skills on display were surely the product of countless hours of practice and competition.
To the TY students from Colaiste Baile Chlair who officiated, referees and parking attendants- we thank you all for your wonderful help and support.
To our great local Super Valu franchisees- Hughes of Claregalway and Flynns of Lackagh, we thank you for your generous sponsorship, without which, not everyone could go home with a medal .
To Peadar Dolan and the Girls of TREAT, we were all delighted with the coffees.
Can we extend our most sincere thanks to Barry O Loughlin ,our Juvenile Chairman and to Shane O Connor Principal at Scoill Bhride, Lackagh for their superb organisation.
This is the type of event that brings out the best of GAA tradition and community life in Claregalway. Circa 1,500 attended and the rivalry was friendly but intense. The excitement was palpable and everyone went home a Winner !
Mums and Dads watched on anxiously, while Grannies and Grand Dads renewed the friendships of a Lifetime along the side-lines .
As a Club ,we in CLG Baile Chlair, felt privileged to host such a cross section of the best of our Community and to help them in their journey of giving expression to their wonderful talents.
The children were tribute to you all in their behaviour and engagement.
May God Bless them in the years ahead .
Mol an Oige agus tiocfaidh siad .
Le Meas
