Club Notes Week Ending 14th August 2022
Fixtures and results:
Round 1 of the Bon Secours Senior Championship got off to a start with a 1:08 to 1:05 defeat against
St Michaels in Tuam Stadium.
Round 2 took place over the past weekend and the lads picked up a win against Caherlistrane in
Tuam stadium on a scoreline of 3:12 to 0:09
Round 3 is set to take place on the weekend of the 26 th of August against Monivea-Abbey. Further
details to follow in the coming week.
Our Juniors had a good win against Caherlistrane on Sunday last on a scoreline of 5:16 to 2:04 and
are out again on the weekend of the 26 th of August against Mountbellew-Moylough.
Our Under 19's have played two games in the Championship so far, winning 2:15 to 1:09 against
Dunmore and losing 3:08 to 2:08 against Corofin last week. They are out this coming Wednesday
(17 th ) against Tuam Stars in Knockdoemore,
Our Minor A and B team are out over the weekend against Tuam Stars and Monivea-Abbey. Both
matches are scheduled for Sunday at 11:30 in Knockdoemore.
Hard luck to the Senior ladies who lost out in the league Final to Corofin on Sunday week in
Knockdoemore. We trailed by a point at the break and unfortunately we were unable to overtake
Corofin in the second half and lost on a final score of 1-13 to 1-12.
Senior and Intermediate Champion ship Round 1 gets under way this coming weekend.

Zone 1 Claregalway A v Tuam A in Tuam at 12pm on Sat 20-Aug

Jack Glynn started the All Ireland final for Galway last month and while the result didn't go the way
of Galway, Jack had a fine match, scoring a point in the process. Injury has limited Conor Flaherty
and Conor Campbells championship this year with Galway – we will see plenty more of them over
the coming months hopefully!
Well done to our 6 representatives who picked up the All Ireland Minor Championship with a win
against Mayo in Roscommon last month with the Galway Minors. A fantastic achievement.
Well done to the Galway Minors and all involved.
Hard luck to the Galway Minor ladies defeated by a very good Cork team in the All. Ireland final on
a fortnight ago. There was great support in Nenagh for our girls and a big thanks to all who
