Congratulations to the Girls and Management from Colaiste Baile Chlair (CBC) who had a
comprehensive victory in the All lreland Senior Final on Saturday in Kinnegad against a very
tough opposition from Scoil Mhuire in Trim Co. Meath . The Meath outfit lead at Halftime 2-
7 to 1-02. But a brilliant second half from the Colaiste Girls saw them win on a Final score

7-09 Scoil Mhuire 2-07.
On Friday evening their manager Fabienne Cooney helped her Club to a merited 1-13 to 2-5
win over Annaghdown in Round 3 of the Senior League.
Well done to our Juniors who make it 3/3 from the weekend’s games. Battling to a hard
earned win over Caherlistrane and after leading 1-8 to 0-6 at halftime we held out for a 3-14
to 2-13 win. Special mention to the CBC players who showed up on Sunday after school
game om Saturday showing unreal commitment. Best wishes to the Galway Senior Ladies
who play Dublin next Sunday in the League semi final and to the Coliste Junior Ladies in
their All-Ireland Final on Saturday against St. Brigid’s Killarney in: Rathkeale Mick Neville
Park at 1 00 pm.
On Saturday last there was a good turnout for the start of the Gaelic4Girls
programme and this continues next Saturday 3pm to 4pm in Knockdoemore. New players can
register on the day.
Congratulations to the Colaiste Baile Chlair First Year Football team who won the Connacht
League Final played in Monivea against HRC Mountbellew. Well done to the
Management and all involved with these very talented boys who have also qualified for the
Connacht Final in the Championship.
Claregalway Senior Men beat Moycullen in the Senior League Division 2 in Lakeview on Sunday on a scoreline of 3-16 to 2-13
The u 16 A Championship gets underway in earnest this week with Claregalway hosting St James at Knockdoemore on Tuesday 17 th, at 7 pm.
There is also an u -16 B team this year and they have got off to a good start with a 2 point win over Salthill on Friday night last, while on Sunday evening in Annaghdown they fought back from a 6 point deficit after half time to earn a draw on the stroke of full time. More than 30 players have got to play u 16 so far this season and Tuesdays opener v ST. James’ promises to be a cracker.
