Juveniles:

All our Juvenile groups are now back in action despite the weather. We wish all our Juvenile teams the best of wishes in 2024 and hope that all have an enjoyable year of football. Thanks to all our coaches who continue to give their time and efforts towards out youth players.

Well done:

Congratulations to the Galway Senior ladies especially our own ladies (Chellene, Charlotte, Leah, Andrea, Eabha and Eimilie) who are the Connaught Champions.  Final score

Galway 1-11 Mayo 0-09

Well done:

Congrats to Jack Glynn, Conor Flaherty and the Galway GAA team on their third Connacht title in a row. A great match with Mayo saw us win out by a point!

Boys Feile:

Well done to our boys Feile teams who lined out for the club over the weekend. The lads and their coaches had a great weekend and while there wasn’t any silverware this time out the experience will stand to them. The teams are looking forward to the remainder of the season.

Knockdoemore was a hive of activity on both days with a feast of football for all that attended. Thanks to all of our volunteers who assisted with the organisation.

Galway Minors Boys:

Well done to Daniel Hughes, Ronan Duggan, Seán O Callaghan, Ben Morley and Jamie King who are involved with the Galway Minor team this year. A Connacht semi-final awaits.

Galway Masters:

Galway Masters played their first Championship match against Leitrim/Longford on Saturday afternoon in Drumlish. They won on a scoreline of 0:15 to 1:05

Martin Kelly was captain, Stevie Cunniffe played at full back and Brian Loughlin played at number 5.

Conor Glynn is injured so he didn’t play in this one but will be back playing soon!

Great to have representatives at every level of County football! Well done lads and best wishes for the upcoming matches!

Green Club:

As part of the Green Club program an additional 300 native trees were planted at our grounds in Knockdoemore this Spring.  The trees were kindly donated by Coillte in association with the Tree Council of Ireland and the EasyTreesie – Crann Project.  PJ and Kevin together with Paddy Hughes looked after the planting. A further boost to our community green club efforts was achieved when our close neighbour Gerry Kearney planted 2000 trees on his land adjacent to the walkway. We say thanks you to Gerry for taking the initiative and supporting our green club efforts.
