Club Notes Week Ending 03rd November 2024
End of Season:
Many of our teams have wrapped up their on-field activities for the season. While photos of various age groups and their end-of-season events have been shared on social media, many other groups have also celebrated their wrap-up events.
It’s a good moment to reflect on the hard work that keeps our club running.
As a club, we rely entirely on volunteers to manage and coach each of our teams. These roles are demanding, with each age group presenting its own set of challenges. Managing and coaching requires significant effort, and with the large number of players we have, those challenges can be especially complex.
Many of our managers and coaches not only take on responsibilities with multiple teams but also contribute to the club’s administration and development. Their dedication is invaluable, and we are incredibly fortunate to have such a committed group of volunteers.
A big thank you to everyone, especially our managers and coaches, for their continued hard work throughout the season. Your efforts ensure that our players have great experiences and that everything runs smoothly!

Tough Luck for Our Minor A Ladies in the County Final!
Our amazing Minor A team gave it their all, but it wasn’t meant to be, with Salthill-Salthill Knocknacarra GAA Club taking the win in the County Final yesterday. Well done to the Salthill-Knocknacarra ladies on the win.
Our ladies showed incredible heart, battling hard in their Semi Final on Friday and pushing through to the Final just two days later. That determination deserves huge respect!
A massive THANK YOU to our coaches and team for their hard work and dedication all season long. And of course, to all our fantastic supporters who came out to cheer us on—you made all the difference!
Special thanks as well to the Claregalway Hotel for taking such great care of the girls on their return.

Tough Luck:
After an engrossing match in Ballinasloe earlier this month our Minor lads came out the wrong side of a 2:10 to 2:09 result.
Well done to Oranmore Maree on the win and to both teams for a fantastic game of football.
Thanks to our lads and mentors for giving it their all in this match and throughout the year!!
It’s not easy lose games like these but we will learn from it!
