The Club’s developments are progressing very well with an incredible amount of work achieved since the beginning of the year.In our Main Grounds in Lakeview, Claregalway, new floodlights have been erected, Netting has been ordered for the main pitch and there are plans to move one of the goals to create an extra training area behind the goal. There are also other works including work on the boundary walls and a general tidy up of the grounds. In Knockdoemore, the temporary carpark is complete as is a roadway which will form part of the walkway around the pitches. An entrance and exit has been created and plans are in place to have the site secured with Pillars and gates in the coming weeks. The first of the main pitches is progressing towards being levelled and seeded and a small area should be available for underage training in April/May 2010.The level of work completed to date is testament to the hard work of the Development Committee and the many volunteers who have given use of machinery as well as their time and expertise. All work in Knockdoemore to date has been completed with minimal cost to the Club, however, going forward it is imperative that we have sufficient funds in place to keep this much needed development progressing. If anyone feels they can offer any time or expertise to different aspects of this project, please contact John Feeney on 087 2510233 or any of the Development Committee.
