Full Details of our Fundraising Lotto Draw

The Lotto is main fundraiser for the local clubs of Claregalway and Carnmore. The draw has been running since 1990 with weekly tickets sales at about 600 tickets. All monies raised goes to the weekly and annual running costs of the Clubs. Claregalway has over 450 members, with 23 teams comprising of 5 Ladies teams, 13 Juvenile and 5 adult teams.

Each week Match 4 wins/shares the Jackpot which is guaranteed at a minimum of at €2,000, and match 3's win or share €200. There is also a weekly sellers prize.

The Lotto draw takes place on each Monday night, with the location of the lotto draw rotating between all our local pubs (Summerfield, Grealishs, Egans, Central Tavern, The Arches Hotel and the Claregalway Hotel ). On Bank Holidays the draw is deferred until the Tuesday night, and there is usually no draw during Christmas Week (24th-28th December) and the main Galway Racing Festival at end of July.

Tickets are available at all of these pub venues, plus in the local shops : Hughes Supermarket, Raftery's Centra , Spar and Glynn's Centra .and cost €2 each.

In September 2006, in association with locallotto.ie the draw took a step further by being made available to purchase online. Read the news article on this here .

Annual subscription including standard order arrangements will be promoted over the next number of weeks by all club members in a effort to finance the continued development of the Club. Our young members are increasing in number and the Club will need to reorganise to support this growth. There is a renewed effort to make the lotto available in all areas and we thank you for supporting our local sellers. Most areas have now their own local seller and we are grateful for the support being received.
